My Favourite Filming Project

I have been fortunate enough to work on some amazing projects, but if I had to pick the most recent one, it would have to be the Landspeeder Documentary.
Between 2016 and 2018, I had the pleasure of traveling with Landspeeder to cover their gigs at the Dublin Castle in Camden, and they were always spectacular. The venue itself is iconic, and the sound quality is outstanding. The only downside was the expensive price of a pint in Camden and an incident involving David Collins who elected himself to be in charge of vehicle decortations, which we won't delve into.
My Documentary on the Big Screen at the Cinema?!
In 2018, I was invited to interview the band and follow them to Camden as part of a documentary that I would be creating. Initially, the documentary was meant for YouTube, but I later discovered that it would be shown in the Plough Arts Centre Cinema in Great Torrington, Devon. This was a phenomenal experience.
It's one thing to see people enjoying your work online, but watching it on a big screen is an entirely different experience. The Plough Arts Centre boasts a state-of-the-art Sony 4K digital projector with Dolby 7.1 surround sound and a cinema screen. Seeing my documentary played back on this incredible setup was truly amazing.
Sure, the event was only in Torrington, and it wasn't a sell-out, but being able to watch my film with others in this way was a completely new experience for me. Despite not being one for the spotlight, I took a seat in the lower seating area while the film played. I did, however, receive a copy of the poster and the What's On guide, which listed my film and credited me as the director.
