Meet the Video Production Team at Rebel Boy Media

MICHAEL

Michael is a filmmaker and editor at Rebel Boy Media. He is also a UK accredited video journalist for RBTV.

Michael has a wealth of experience in video production and has had a keen interest in film since a young age. His first taste of professional video production was at around the age of 12 when he had an opportunity to be a cameraman for a 999 emergency services display that was being broadcast live by a small TV Group that his father was a part of.

His father, a well established telecommunication engineer, had purchased a video camera when Michael was young. Despite the rule that it was not to be used unsupervised, Michael and his brother used it frequently - unsupervised. This is where Michael's love of filmmaking started.

When Michael eventually got his own camera, he would film almost everything. When YouTube first started he had a vlogging channel which he ran with his cousin.

As well as working as a filmmaker for Rebel, Michael also films content for RBTV and is a full member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and has been for a number of years, as well a member of the British Association of Journalists (BAJ) and the Broadcasting, Entertainment, Communications and Theatre Union (BECTU).

Michael also has a long history in IT and is an experienced web developer. This has given him the edge when it comes to developing content designed to be shared online, as he not only has a wealth of knowledge and experience in editing content for any platform, but also has the technical expertise and understanding of how these various platforms work and what is required.

KATIE

Katie joined Rebel Boy Media as a trainee and quickly showcased her talent and passion for video production.

Over the years, Katie has become a skilled videographer and editor, proficient in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop. She has gained valuable experience in post-production, color correction, and audio editing, making her a reliable and capable member of our team.

In addition to her role at Rebel Boy Media, Katie works as a video journalist for RBTV UK. She holds a UK Press Card and is a full member of the National Union of Journalists, reflecting her commitment to her profession.

Katie has been working alongside Michael for many years, helping to build and grow Rebel Boy Media. She plays a key role in optimising content for mobile devices and social media platforms, continually demonstrating her adaptability and dedication. Her contributions have been instrumental in enhancing the quality and reach of our productions.

Outside of work, Katie engages in personal projects, such as creating digital content for video games and exploring digital animation. Her enthusiasm and commitment make her a valuable asset to Rebel Boy Media.
